FIELD/VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

Toledo School for the Arts-Student Teacher, Art teacher Liz Hayes-Taught 6-12thgrade students for 8 weeks. Incorporated cross content curriculum into lessons, created and exhibited a school-wide art project, promoted an experimental and fun environment while introducing many different art mediums through the works of famous artist. Fall 2018.

 

Whiteford Elementary-Student Teacher, Art teacher Andrea Geha-Taught K-5th grade students for 8 weeks. Implemented effective learning, behavior and motivational strategies. Developed and taught engaging art projects of various mediums. Fall 2018.

 

Toledo Museum of Art, Education Intern, worked under Sarah Daniels-Worked with children from age 4-16 in the summer art program. Responsible for collecting, organizing, and distributing workshop materials, assisted with logistical support and programmatic needs, helped collect, refine, and digitize curriculum developed during the workshop summer 2017.

 

Saint Ursula Academy, Toledo, OH. Art Teacher Tamra Landis- 30 Hours field experience as well as teaching, spring 2016.

 

Hiawatha Elementary, Washington Local, Toledo, OH. Art Teacher Crystal Anderson- 40 Hours field experience, fall 2015.

 

Toledo Museum of Art, Classroom Assistant for children's summer art camp, summer 2015- Supported the educational experiences of students by assisting with group and individual art projects in youth art classes, greeted students, and helped with classroom set up and clean up. 

 

Toledo Museum of Art, Family Center, summer and winter 2015- Worked with children up to the age of 10 and their parents on hands-on projects, welcomed families to the center, encouraged creative thinking and assisted children in expressing themselves in an artistic form.
