I will tell them what item to bring in for day 3. I will show students how to extract pigment from their item (boiling, diffusing, crushing, blending, mixing with water). Students will draw out their Kahoot character onto watercolor paper. On day 4, students will finish extracting their pigment (straining liquid if needed) and practice gradation as well as making test strips. Every student will have a test strip containing a sample of everyone’s medium. Students when ready, will paint their Kahoot character using their medium. When complete students will turn in their painting with their test strip and self-assessment.
